Count Dracula

Count Dracula
April 2003

Forever Loved, Forever Remembered....

One of my first good friends on the internet was and is "Diabella", a wonderful woman who loves cats and is involved in cat rescue, along with many other things. When I know someone who is so devoted to any kind of animal, I can't help but to have a deep respect for that person. I have noticed throughout my life, that as a rule, people who love and care for animals, are also people that treat other people with respect. "Diabella" is one of these people. Unfortunately, during the course of one year, Diabella lost her lovable Katzenberg, January, 2002, and now, the fearless Count Dracula. I know the grief that she is feeling, and I feel that grief also, even though I don't personally know "Drac". There is such a thing as loving a cat or any animal from afar.

This is for you, my friend-Diane, and for the memory of "Drac".

MY TEARS COULD FILL A RIVER...........

My tears could fill a river that the sun had all but dried,

My love for you dear Dracula can never be denied.

You were my dear companion, a cat so rare to find,

That came to me so full of fight, yet soon our hearts entwined.

You trusted me completely, you loved me to the end,

We knew each other's thoughts my Drac, you were my special friend,

I'll miss you every morning, without you on my lap,

The nights are long and lonely too, my dear beloved cat.

There's others think I'll soon forget, but they don't understand,

The bond that we both had on earth, your future I had planned.

I'll always miss you baby, I miss your silky fur,

Your deep green eyes, that look of love, your deepest softest purr.

Such memories I cherish now, I'll keep you in my heart,

Until the day I too join you, and never have to part.

Play on my precious baby cat, go chase those mice galore,

But wait for me at Rainbow Bridge, where we'll be whole once more.

Written specifically for Count Dracula by a friend in England:
